The Laughing Therapy

A baffle(d) encounter with Buddha
The laughing therapist
What did this cat, hear so funny,  I missed

The joke is on me, the joke is on me
I walked by a park in the middle of spring
With birds in trees, sat in nests, happily singing

I came across a group of elegant middle-class homo-sapiens
On their backs, a belly full of laughter
Laughing out loud; jokes, jokes, I like a good joke

What was the joke, I asked with excitement
No joke, was the reply "this is a laughing therapy
Fair enough I said, again I asked what was the joke

Lets hear it out, I like a good laugh
I am all for a good laugh, just give me the punch line
"No joke my fellow homo sapien, just a laugh"

Just a laugh? "its just a laugh" negate a joke
I wondered, have I slept and missed
The great evolution of man, was the joke on me

For I can not, laugh, without hearing something funny
I can not laugh without seeing something funny
Come on what is the joke, I like a good joke, a tickle would do

Modern day hysteria, how could I have missed such leap
Such great evolution and be left standing over a bunch
Of homo-sapiens, with yoga mats, on the park laughing

Guess the joke is on me, the joke is on me
"No joke", the joke is on me, now that's a punch line
I could hear the birds  a belly full of chatter, jokers with laughter

The joke is on me
Well, wait until the cat gets you, birdy, birdy
Then I would have my laughing therapy

Charlie Chaplin

Oh Charlie , back when I was so young
And the box set, I sat in front
Only showed in black and white, so small

No words spoken to show intent, signs
Act, actions, oh but you made me laugh so loud
And I brought the house down, with giggles

Like the house of cards, tumbling, rolling with belly laughs
Running in fast forward, on walk steps, dance steps
On two legged fork doing the one, two step

You knew how to wow the girls, so much, you show off
Moving in cartoonish ways with sway
Oh Charlie, oh Charlie, oh Charlie Chaplin

What good old classics, truly time tested
You gave to me in gift of joy and laughter
Like clock works you never failed to amuse, like clock works

You made me laugh a thousand laughs, belly laughs
Tears in my eyes, my jaw hurts, I ask for more
Just on silent movies, oh  what such classics

Oh what such happiness
You brought to my door step
Oh Charlie, oh Charlie, oh Charlie Chaplin

Off On A Tangent 2

Eureka moment of enlightenment
Boom, not bomb, silly you , Archimedes
When layers of conundrums are stripped bare

And a step, a stretch
Is all it takes, open sesame, clap
To unveil a master piece, there you have it

Nothing comes to the lazy man, you lazy cow
Who sits and wonders what if, if only, could have
And turns to take a nap in day light

Mitigating circumstance, when it is too hot
The Spanish are allowed, it is to be called siesta
Well what do you expect, try living in the sun

Okay so like I was saying, lecturing, blabbering
Who cares, shhh don't wake the Spanish
The conquistador, they fight bulls

Like I was saying burning dreams
With sucked up energy, where was I
Chain of thought, chain of thought

Where was I, why was I, chain of thought
Oh yeah, you know like a sink hole
Strange that is, always leaves a sense of vulnerability

Like a sink hole, Alice in wonderland
There is a reason, in reasons given
Why we grow out of, part ways with

Our imaginary friends as adults, as grumpy
And dreams are to be called ambitions
Okay another eureka moment

Grab a pen, ahh I lost it
Off on a tangent
Orbiting the earth

Laughing Loving Laughing

I laugh out loud at your silly jokes
I get them, funny giggle
That is you, my happy trigger

Dancing formation dance in pair
Synchronised like two dolphins
Playing their hearts out, affection gained

The blue sea is wide and treasures filled
Lets treasure hunt, it is your love I seek
And for us the whole platform to stand

You smile with a sparkle, shimmering stars
Treasures bright  your eyes hold belong
I love it so, forever  you twinkle

I love to tell a joke or two,
Three if I am on a row, always on the row
Pull silly faces and tickle your happy spot

Just to see all the treasures,  your eyes do hide
I know you will laugh, at my silly jokes
You get me, my punch line, right, ha ha ha

I get you too, I so much do
Always with the twinkle in your eyes
I love to see the twinkle in your eyes

Laughing loving laughing out loud
"Little I ask, my wants are few"
Just to see the twinkle in your eyes

In A Day

While days break dawn..
To set in dramas of what..
Characters we choose to play..
In new days..

Punch lines of jokes said..
Between friends gaffes..
By the gaffer, who chooses..
Never to disappoint..

He ushers in the lines, One line..
That sets a minute of awkward silence..
In moments, with stares by all..

To yell, smile or  be angered
“What is he on about”..
Followed by the jesters laughter..

Comedy of life, we cry inbetween
Read a chapter of your book of life
Let me read a chapter of mine

Then to the days end..
Handshakes, hugs, pecks..
Love you, you too..

Till tomorrow brings in a new light..
For in the day we set out roles to play
And at night we take such costumes off
