The bank of books

Books stocked, packed on shelves
Each word written by a beautiful mind

Some as rich as the value of  true wealth
Some as rare as the sight of a red emerald

Some as records of events that was
Some as fiction and some as law

Some as print media dated 18 something
Some before the time of the industrial age

Some on sheepskin rolled round as scrolls
Some for kids, poetry and music books

Some by Darwin about the evolution of nature
Some by Einstein on the theory of relativity

Some by Shakespeare, said of Othello
Some by  Wordsworth and some by Victor Hugo

This is the house the bank of books
Where all of knowledge is kept stacked on shelves

The End of Time

Another voice heard out from the box bellowing
News media, another breaking news to follow

News flash, heightened reviews
Sound bites, every second that follows

The cloud cover lost its greyness, blue sky
It is all raining red, sky fall

Meteorites falling out of the sky
Rainbows fading in colour

Panic buttons pressed on repeat
Food hoarders out in force

Guns loaded and packed with intent
Do not call a man's bluff in anarchy

Without a casket measured to fit
Made by the undertaker just for you

Own all, sell all, frantic markets, last request
What rooms do pretenders have in these times

Newsflash, I heard you came through the back door
And your room is all packed up, lets have a toast then

The fire place seems the only ground of refuge
Not for escape, relief, but for the waited time

Lets have a toast then, a toast
Lets have a toast for the end times

Voices In The Wind

There is always a voice in the winds
Blowing west to the south, east to the north

There is always a whisper in the winds
Echoing, distorted cacophony of chat

There is always a ghost in the shadows
Taking forms of the shapes to form

There is always a scare a sense
Of a presence, eerily and haunting

There, yet when I look it stays empty
There, thoughts and wander prolonged

There and dreams are just the same
Mystery that surround this world

My route, mapped out

Found reasons on seasons
To facilitate my observation's path

Mapped out contours body art
With topography on hills and valleys

My palm is to be read
As this tattoo of my habitation

Earth is a line, drawn for directions
Each is my own route map I take

Jail break on thoughts baffles
The avenue of my junctions

Compasses are made from the stars
On the globe I carriage on as a traveler

Between time and space
Each wrinkle, marks a passage drawn

Tomorrow I will be with the cosmos
As a stardust that once walked this earth

A Lucky Charm

You are like the beginners luck
I make a wish and each time I see you
A lucky charm, a company to enjoy

I heard a whisper, faint loud from the winds
That called my name, it called me out
Named me with a tap on my shoulder

Your aura precedes you, a sense of your presence
So I turned a' looked, far and long, on instinct call
At the personification of your whole emerging

You are like the beginners luck
I make a wish, each time I see you
And hope you stay, just that long by my side

Stand by me, hand in hand, my warn chocolate
My lucky charm, my beautiful flower blossom
My beginners luck, you are like my beginners luck

My Love Don Go

Time it seems wants to take his own back
Like a playground child w' ownership in his hands
Enforcing with intent to bully emotion sadness into joy
It is mine I want it back, in insistence he holds

Regardless of your present stands of declare
I am more than cheerful for being that crude
Time it seems wants to collect his own back
Like minutes run, allowed on jukebox dance mat

Enforcing the echoes of silence in mid-dance
Courtesy is over rated and without show to falter
It is mine, I want it back; hear me loud
And the heavens can rain tears regardless

Time it seems wants to take his own back
Like a plague on harvested grain
To leave courtship dead in the course of try
But what of love and what passion we share

What of the entwined bond we hold of touch
What of promises we made in dream's pool
Time it seems wants to collect his own back
As seasons ends and autumn emerge

We met on crossroads, on routes home
We shared a den and scattered like birds disturbed
O my love don go, the cruelty of time clouds heavy
The rains gather with tears to mourn this premature

In the mix of entanglement

Standing at the cross roads
With arrows, pointing on all directions

I was born and laid an egg from the womb
Push me close away too far away, push me away

Love me hate me on passion rage union
Love me for I was rightfully right, wrong, right

Choke me on allowed breath
Allow me inversion of my private space

Brave panic with confidence wobble
Embrace let go and hold loose tight

Entangled ropes straight sanity of discourse
We hold to pull opposing knots tied

Oh how did we get near this far
Find me where salt water and fresh do mix

And I would have roses to give to love
Who came from the south going to the south

As we love and quarrel and burn bridges
To entangle and be torn, only to miss with heart's lonesomeness

Capturing a flower

This flower, capturing this moment
A stretch out to touch this gem
This pearl, solidified to make fascination real
Align allegiance with spectacular, this radiance

To witness this moment
To touch fairy wings and unicorn horns
I have seen magic in its purest, in this life
What delight of beauty ordained on nature

When the heavens leaves open, oportune
Curvature doors long enough ajar, this moment
To witness paradise with such sight from earth
And see rainbow radiate from within, this aura

This angel, this moment, this smile
This twinkle in the eye
This star bright, this joy
Forever captured, this flower

An Obsession (1 of 3)

I have an obsession with the night
It draws me in, like a feed
Every night with transformation

Oh, what mystery the nights holds
From the earth to the heavens and beyond
Darkness surrounds the blueness of  sky

It leaves my defined ideation clouded in lost
It says it all and says nothing at all
Infecting my  mind to wonder madly

Between  the safeness of dreams
And nightmares haunt, that follows
Surrealism conjures images and thoughts

Insomnia would not excuse, as escape
Invasion of thoughts that ponders wildly
Orging with pleasure and of guilt and scare

Drawn into hallucination with opened eyes wide
Blearing borders of reality and dreams
Compelling with tacit, holding grounds at night

I have an obsession with the night
It wakes my primal being
To tickle my senses

Having a warm soup

We all meet up in the middle sometimes
When the seasons are right
We all brush off the mud on our boots
On the doormat, that spells out welcome home

Walking out of the cold into the warmth
An empty chair seats idle
With our names imprinted on, reserved  for
Like a movie director's chair with comfort

Here take your coat off
Here have a seat, here a warm soup
Or coco, have some bread to fill you up
And do tell us stories of adventure

And trepidations, dragons you have slayed
At some point, I feared I wouldn't make it
Nightmare rings awakening, like alarm clocks
To my sleep awake and I sweat the demons out

Words do, belittle experience to talk of
But hold on, it is a lie what was spelt out
In the beginning so bold, like prophecy
And infested with assurance that mild

We do not all meet in the middle sometimes
When the seasons are right
Some never made it back and empty seats
Remain around tables in advent

An old friend passed away
He will not be here this year
An old friend changed alliance, false start
He now stands at the front line with the enemy

An old friend lost his map
He sits in the cold in street corners begging
Without direction on course to take
The magnet in his compass is without life

So I hold back my speech of travesty
And look into the hamper bag I carry
To bring out presents of merry, I carry more of those
Don't be fooled by t' size of t' bag, it is like the Tardis

The most valuable of all, is to have made it here
In the middle sometimes, when seasons are right
To brush off the dirty on our boots, on welcome mats
Hang our coats and have a warm soup

NB: If you saw the baby in the picture above
you have good eyes and Merry Christmas

Favouring one

Would I favour the fool
For he agrees with me, always
A' expresses, no objection on subjects I speak on

He lays no grounds to withstand a position
And passages path, he offers free to pass
Would I favour the fool

Or that of the sceptic, who always objects
Even when reasons beyond doubt
Has been made, tailored, tabled to warrant no objection

Do I favour his kind, to grant a forced compromise
For passage as a price paid, too high
Stiff in his own right to oppose and be seen as so

Neither one do I want in my backyard play
To have the fool answer for he thinks
To please, and lead me down a plank blind

Nor the sceptic paranoid
Who he wraps up, all in a bubble
And refuses to have dirt shadow, his day

What of one in-between
What of one to dance between lines
What of one with sway to favour

Finding the words

Quietly I profess to acknowledge
Covert to announce in whispers, I love you
How do I share this with you

Jittery getters

What am I to ceremonies
If I start to every bit objectify
On every occasion, with a trumpet

Lay out carpets in Moroccan red
And be seen sat in a tuxedo
Have a banquet  with open doors

And have the Queen here sat at present
Yea, tables laid, chandeliers hung
And have me host this, high on calender

On ceremony with jittery getters
Unceremoniously with shivers
All to have just stood in front of toothless crowds

And make this here a brief presentation
To the who of not, he is not with bite
Of who is who, sat here watching

What am I to ceremonies
If I start to every bit objectify
On every occasion with a trumpet

My Joyful Day

I will silence the winds
And have the trees stop their dance
Until called upon to do so

I will call out the clouds
And say to them, this day
Just this day, spare me your rain

And the grass will know to keep to a height
We greed on, upon a gentleman's handshake
Not too high a' not too short, just perfect in trim

The sea will calm their rattle
The dolphins will synchronise their jumps
The salmons will not yet go red

I will have the sun come out
And the birds will line in choir, well tuned
Ready and willing to sing at a moments notice

And the sky will give me
Its bluesiest of colour so picture perfect
For ceremonial  me, to sit in adore

To name this day
My joyful day, oh what a day
To have this day be

The Unfamiliar Acquaintance

I am the one, you passed by yesterday
The neighbour you said hello to, or not
The nods and smiles you gave, or not

The gentle echoes from the distance you heard
Like a visit to my Keta village, on the shores
Of the volta and dawn drum beats, that melody

That melody, that wakes the soul to feed, or not
I am the lover you once had, made promises to
Your first love or not, second love, third love, or not

The beggar on the street you tossed a coin to, or not
The neighbour's child with scruffy hair, or not
The kid you willingly shared your all with, or not

With names familiar to you, or not
And memories of innocences, or not
The childhood best friends forever, or not

Still unsure, what emphases to place in knowing
Whether to call thee a friend or an acquaintance
Whether to make thee a stranger, with a hint of familiarity

But you know to recognise comrades, and lay claim to relations
As opulence favour door ways of subjects, until now with surety
Surely you must be, don't you remember, with tones changed

Sown Alive

Sown alive in a window
Behind plants that gather form
They climb to surround, they engulfed her soul

She sat there naked in cradle
Her eyes engaged, glowing psychedelic
Embrace to enchant, deep contemplation

Her thoughts capture distance, of escape
Clouds, shape formers signals a paradigm change
They conjure rainbow twinkle, then contradicts

Beauty that calls out, the allure of seduction
Sent men and women on their knees with delight
To worship her voice of Venus

Like the green leaves that surrounds
She held life full, radiant, gifted
Artistic loving, enigma of a kind, kindly

But she was sown alive
Still with life, so much left in her
She was sown alive

Sometimes the winds carry her singing voice
Thoughts of her comes to mind with twinkles of melody
And in that instant she takes life's form again

Long enough until the music stops
Long enough to delight to celebrate her life
Long enough in 3 minutes while her songs play

Walk on water

Don't let the truth, get in the way of a great story
I heard a man say with resolve on impetus, impulse
Do not ask, how he managed to walk on water "he did"

He did, that is all that matters, leave me with solace
The myth busters, went out to work, on mines
On proving one so wrong, "digging the dirt"

In the end I found, I was made so blue
For knowing the truth, big fuss
He walked on water, great story, "end of"

It is not what tales you tell for vindication
It is the consistence of your lines
To tinkle believers ears with delight "wonders shall"

The ability to engage, indulge
To hold strong, entertain, escape, play
Tell me a story, read me a poem in literature "fiction"

Science and religion lives on such principles too
"You know", life it self, does too, "you know"
Nature does too, like the blueness of the sky, "you know"

Don't let the truth get in the way, capture my imagination
I am engage to indulge, rainbows hold pots of gold
I am sat on a unicorn, climbing a golden mountain "a knight"

Walking on water, end of, end of, do not read past
End of...that is it..

Announce Tables

Announce tables
A stage set, a page turned
A letter head with an unknown name

A picture drawn, with an unknown face
A character stands undefined
A faint disturbance from a standing mic

The winds blow, the curtains dance
 A Mexican wave gathers form
Slowly with grace, like a ball room dance

A whisper of sound, awakening light
Ignites blaze, glow of fire
Slowly gathers ground like the waves

A figure enters a crowded room
He takes a step, and nears the stand
He finds the center and comes to light

A stage is set, a page is turned
A character is defined
In a sea of crowd gather

Who are you to be
In a crowded room, taking steps
While shoes wait to be owned, claimed,  filled

Announce tables
A stage set, a page turned
A letter head with an unknown name

To Love a' To Hold

An over whelming embrace I feel, drawing emotions
Like that of a beautiful film coming to an end
Opening tear drops, from the eye lid

As rain wash pure, it draws out feelings
So emotional,  that I can not hold back
But to express, like possession

Like the joy of seeing love, loving you
Of lovers missed, to have been reunited again
With surprise; walking through doors unexpected

Emotionally driven, from the very depths of the soul
A jump of joy, the tightest of hug, to love and to hold
A child's grip of an adult's hand, this for assurance of safety

So good to see you again my dear
Old friends, old love, oh life, old joy
So good to see you again

And this is essence, instinct of being
Shaw-shank redemption, like Lean on me
A yearn for repeat play, ecstasy to relive in t' moment again

Sometimes the answers sought for are so simple
Yet so complicated, that no words can make sense of
The intense pull, sensation of the heart, in defining life

And I felt the blood rush into my head, to wake
I cried out solemnly with joy, to define my essence
I loved to share the strength within me

I opened up to allow my humanity's relief
To worship it's feed from divine
I know life,  I know joy, I know love

Emotions drawn
So lean on me I have got soul
And feed of my essence
