If it rains, and every umbrella
Swings wide its span, to capture space
Trench coats and wellington boats
Pots of water flood canyons
Enraged one, with frustration
By the driver who splashes on ponds
Misery drawn on the face with drench
If it rains, and everything gets wet
And umbrella's forms mask to disguise faces
And all long for a clement weather
Look out for the girl with the flower yellow
And ask her to fly to t' sky to seek word with t' clouds
Bearing flowers, as gift to please
To say, to the clouds, hold back your tears, dear
And do not cry, here is a flower to cheer you up!
How to sweeten the clouds
Hold back your tears, hold back your tears, dear
This is how to sweeten the clouds
Lovely! "Look out for the girl with the flower yellow."....wonderful!! :) Enjoyed this one immensely.

ReplyDeleteThey way you use this metaphor really pulled me in!
ReplyDeleteThis was beautiful! Made me wish I could float and fly up to kiss the clouds and sun and share the beauty of flowers with them. Be blessed!
