Deafening Silence

Deafening sounds of silence
Like that heard by a king

In empty castles, ghostly surrounding

And we are not alone
Through drama, with excitement
Even sorrow has a value

For I grieve for the silence gone,
His would not utter another word
With his passing

And my world would be ghostly silence.
Noise, disturbance would have
More value than gold, someone to share with

To explain why the old, yearn to have
The crusade of the children's army around
It brings life to dying worlds, so let them play

  2. "Noise, disturbance, would have more value than gold..." truly inspiring line, we all cry out for silence until we are plagued by it. This was an emotionally evoking piece, nicely done ~ Rose
