The miss-understanding of Pareto

Pareto's principle stands
And all that know appreciate its value
Truly as it states, life follows I follow 
A 20-80 rule of participation and return

Ok back to basics, elementary
I may be putting the carriage in-front of the horse here
So allow me to start from the beginning a dot on plain sheet
A discovery of one of the golden rules of nature

Pareto states that we spend 20% of our time
In achieving 80% of the work to be done
And this is true, a blue print of formation
Nature's rule 101 as we proceed 

This principle can be interpreted in all sorts
Of situations, from relationship to work
20% time spent cuddling a love one, romance
Makes up some of the 80% of what relationship is about

Though this leaves us with 80% of the time
For 20% of the work left to be done
And most would think, well now
More time for R&R or procrastination 

But the most essential bit of the work
Lies in the 20% of the work left to be done
I call this the fine tuning stage, adjusting to fit
A correlation, synchronization, the final polish

This 20% of activity, believe me  
Needs all the 80% of the time left and more
If it is an essay being written 20%
Is the editing work to correct any mistakes

If it is a house being built 20%
Is the final finish of tweaking
The stage of wearing a blue bag on the shoe
When walking around the house

The 20% is the face value 
Which we as humans hold very dear 
The attentions to details 
Adjusting the mirror on the wall 

The value of the whole product 
Is set in the 20% of the activity left 
Without which appreciation of the work
Done would not be granted 

This is what I call the misunderstanding 
Of the Pareto's principle 
Quoting the 20 - 80 rule 
Is misleading without an appreciation 

Of what the 80 -20 swing of opposite ends 
The purpose and value of my appreciation 
Of what the car looks like 
Before considering its functionality.

Peace In My Soul

Granted when I put my head down 

To sleep in the cloud's pillow, soft 

And my soul opens up to feed on rest 

I am always now at peace, granted 

Though the dark clouds hover above 

And the sea with its temperament engage  

To rock my boat with white knuckles 

To show zeal as fuel required, tested, granted 

Call it my boarding pass, to reach the shores 

And make it my passage path compass 

With lighthouse drawn, granted 

Though I am far from the shores to engage 

My feet to its soil, sea sand on my feet 

My soul is now with peace, granted 

For I know what directions to head 

I Am Made Of A Material

Not with money, nor anything money made 
Money bought, money gained, money acquired 

Not with wealth as riches of man 
Not with castles built, nor sky scrappers hanged 

Not with luxury of design wear, Prada not
Coco, Gucci not, nor with Louis Vuitton 

Gaga of defined hallow status 
To say I am a made man

When the pertinent question is asked 
Thus to describe, explain, analyse; sir elaborate  

What you are made of in context 
Tell me, in a simple  four letter word 

To define a concept of your being 
That would stand the test of time 

I would not change course again 
This time I shall be firm on this road 

Talking Wild Turkey

Talking turkey, bridging the gap   
I  stumbled upon a man in the woods  
"Turkey brother", he talks turkey   


Oh just the right man to ask, what came first  
The turkey or the egg, he talks turkey  
Seriously what came first   


As I sat intense drawn into   
The life of the turkey family   
Humour me, come lets journey on discovery  


I started believing  
What the turkey man was saying, he talks turkey   
Hold on before jumping to judge quick, analyse 


Slave of skeptical-ism  
Eager to dismiss rendition 
For comfort of non-believers, "have faith man" 


It could have just been 
A camera trick, I know
But so well played to punters watch 


He mothered them before hatch, talking turkey    
And they opened another world to him
Like the blind seeing for the first time 


Where turkeys became 
Intelligent and emotional from observation  
With societal interactions and characters 


With other wild life around, they all talked turkey 
It was as if the garden of Eden as biblically stated  
Was never lost, just closed off to humanity 


I felt so humble and empty 
On realization we lived blind, not talking turkey 
To our existence, always chasing tomorrow
