The composite of me

The science of my existence
I am told, I am made of carbon, my bones
I am made of the heaven particles and H2O

I am science to be studied
Biology to my organs
Physics to my movement

Now chemistry, chemistry, chemistry
Is for all sorts, a mixtures of me
Reaction on opposites and attraction

I am made of science
Brittle at certain temperatures, cold
Strong at others, bendy and sentimental

Temperamental at others
Don't go letting me catch fire
I am made of hydrogen too, you know

Precious in diamonds valued on price
Did I say, I was made of diamond
Sorry carbon, was I wrong to say diamond

But between biology, physics and chemistry
I cannot figure out, that which controls my heart
Runs tears and blood in the valleys of me, like streams

I suspect chemistry, tricky chemistry with emotion
Oh, chemistry, chemistry, and my soul you are
My subconscious you are, how so complex you are

The Prodigal Son

Who would answer this door, when I knock
When I knock, who would answer this door

Who would sound the bell, blowing horns
To announce that Dzogbese Lisa is back

Who would remember my name, statue
Or any memory of  my social stands that remains

Would my family house still be by the beach
Or has the sea long, invaded and captured my lot

Would I find with ease my way around this hay
Opening up memories long forgotten to navigate

Or would the kids and elders around, ask bemused
Who is Dzogbese Lisa again, never in memories to hold

Forgotten in statue that stands, broken down
I once had my name on the lips of all, before forgotten winds

Who would answer this door, when I knock
When I knock, who would answer this door

A stranger now to familiar grounds
Who would answer this door when I knock

And say, hey welcome Dzogbese Lisa
You have been missed

How to sweeten the clouds

If it rains, and every umbrella
Swings wide its span, to capture space
Trench coats and wellington boats

Pots of water flood canyons
Enraged one, with frustration
By the driver who splashes on ponds

Misery drawn on the face with drench
If it rains, and everything gets wet
And umbrella's forms mask to disguise faces

And all long for a clement weather
Look out for the girl with the flower yellow
And ask her to fly to t' sky to seek word with t' clouds

Bearing flowers, as gift to please
To say, to the clouds, hold back your tears, dear
And do not cry, here is a flower to cheer you up!

How to sweeten the clouds
Hold back your tears, hold back your tears, dear
This is how to sweeten the clouds

A message in a shell

I picked a gem from the floor
On the beach shoreline, where a thousand
Waves sang in choir

They have traveled distance journeys
To announce with messages they hold
What the others across the pond did say

My love stands there waving across with words among
She said something nice, but too far for my ears to hear
Something good, romantic, something unique

I picked something precious
From the beach sand, that held magic
Allure  of beauty, it came as a parcel to be had

I picked a shell on the beach
Placed it close to my delicate ears
And heard the message my love sent

She sent a message in a shell
Something nice, quintessential
Something about love, in a shell
