I sense a weight being lifted
On my chest away from me
I have carried these sacks
For so long on my shoulders
Dragging on the floor
As a part of me
Sworn into my skin
Attached like birth mark
I have carried these weight
For so long
Like the badges worn by
The army officer
And on this day
They just came off , dead skin
Like the day of retirement
For the General
Hanging his uniform
And weighted badges for good
To do away with
The burden of yesterday
