Nature's rules on balance

Nature's rules of engagement
Being wise to the course

Something is always unknowingly
Taken from us, us as a trade

When we physically gain something
New a reward of sorts

And we are given something in return
Whenever something physical

Is always taken away from us
A sacrifice or loss

Do not over celebrate your gains
Do not over lament on your losses

For you never know what nature
Gave or took back in return

To re-balance the equilibrium
Of your life... for yin yang to fit

The case on global warming heard

Global warming ubxGlobal warming ubx (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

First; court rise, case number "blue planet"
To be heard, for or against, friends all be seated

Wake the rainbow it just went to bed
Lazy cow w' glitter, was it not meant to be as round

Shake the rivers they just dozed off
Another lazy bunch halts, holding back waves

Oh and what of the breezy stifling air
Caught entangled with stink, so out of character

Never mind t' fire with artificial flames, the sun
Skiving off and keeping us cold then to scorch

Not the rain again, setting records wet
To flood and flood and drench and drought

The soil is dry yet another scandal to hold
Sat in a web strange waiting on the elements

While they argue amongst themselves regardless of audience
On if  when or who it is to be blamed for global warming

O my coffee just went cold, thanks for the distraction
All rise, I am going to warm it up in the microwave

A Miracle In Temple Quay

On the roof top at the No. one square
Temple Quay where locations are set
Seeing breath distance from the train station

Temple Mead; where work men and women
Gallavant  at a pace set in motion
Only privileged to the week day's hustle

And just before 0900 and 1730 with starbuck cups
To and fro, to earn their keep
Hunters in suits and ties, in office blocks

"Tic, toc, tic, toc, Burry on the hurry, harry"

Here where nature is altered
And the trees that grounds, what few stands
Are positioned and assigned by architecture

"Placed to stand no higher than prescribed"

And on the roof top, a miracle at No. one the square
A life takes form to perfection of nature
Repeated over the millenia as constant

Hoovering up above on protection duty
The seagulls warns off, intruders to alarm
From what miracle of life they nest

On this busy patch of concrete architecture
Where man runs in chase of time
Nature just carries on with miracles, regardless

This Natural World

Standing on the treadmill
Of this life line, passing by, sleep walking
With blinks of what we don't see flashlight
Half of what we see, that we see

To refuse to acknowledge
Travelling through space
Between reasons and understanding
In no man's land

I look up, into the heavens
And constantly I am made aware
In acknowledgement, how insignificant we are
For what we fight for, to own, to build

Dead men's blood poured on this soil
In battles fought long before, wasted
Forgotten limps and medals of honour
Stands, Colosseum, kings who ruled

And Rome fell; long, long before invaders entered
This  artificial world we fight so  hard to own
To trade friendship, to claim
More fragile than the natural world around

Rats, cockroaches  and ants, wild grass
Constantly invading, pigeons and sea gull
Rains insult on it's very grand gesture
Constantly needing to be cared for

To keep from rotten, this world, this life
I breathe, the air that surround
And  instantly I am made to appreciate
What mother nature has offered  so freely

This world, this life opened landscape
I see mountains, forests, seas and valleys
This naturally world to have lived in
I give thanks, each day, each day I give thanks
