Garden Wars

Do not be eager to turn the soil
Plant seeds and water the seedlings
On a neighbor's garden, carrot soup

It is all good and well in words
Promises that may have been made
But the season is long, cabbages and potatoes

And harvest time brings more people
To the farmer's house, farmer's farm
That other wise feels deserted, lettuce wrap

But with you and your neighbor
When such promises were made
Of neighborly share, apples and oranges

Do not be too hasty to count
The harvest on your neighbor's farm
On promises made, chicken and eggs

The season is long
And other factors once not conceded
May come into play, corn and butter

\Silent mouths find their voices
Ghost find their interest to take form
Reclaiming where their interest lies, tomatoes and pepper

Do not be in a hurry my dear friend
To lay claim on a neighbor's harvest
Save yourself from such disappointment, broccoli and cheese

The season is long
And the seedlings have only been planted
Do not be in a hurry, haste to lay claim, beef stew

The Farmer and The Hunter Analogy

The hunter and the farmer
An analogy that serves
To establish a notion of
Temporary and permanent stands

The energy that holds
A fire in perpetual stay
Cannot afford to burn as fast
With such intensity

That radiates a heightened sense
Of excitement at high peak
It is only the gods that have that ability
Apollo Helios as the sun god

Nothing that good can hold form
That long, a golden rule
To be observed
It stands, it stays

Casanova would have failed
Granted, in every relationship
Past the excitement period, stages
Running out t' windows has become his norm

The hunter losses his essence
Once the meat has all been eaten
He has to go back hunting
To remain relevant

So tell me why should the farmer
Worry about the hunter
He's time is always limited
The farmer and the hunter an analogy

After all it is the start of farming
That civilisation of man is drawn on
It is said

My roots and me

Where my roots lie
Between civilization and lost worlds
That sprung, flourished and vanished
In a twinkle of an eye

Where is Atlantis
The Kings and Queens
The high society and low class
That once lived here

The jewelry and sliver spoons
The clay bowls and wine jugs
The soldiers and debt collectors
The beauty and the beast

Where are all the old souls
That passed away what of the young
and vibrant between space and the universe
What form are they taking now

Light as a feather or as heavy as a rock
To become strangers in their own land
Long forgotten and of their essence
Are we ghost, souls of the dinosaur

Where does my root lie,
Between civilizations and the lost world
Between yesterday and today
In a twinkle of an eye

A Ghanaian Caskets

It is hard to clean a mess
This wide spread
With splash this wide a range

The task of knees to the floor
With every tiny fine corner to clean
Like dust spread on dessert roads

A mess this great to clean
The air feels stuffy filled with remnants
Of what had just been executed by the beast

Torn to shreds like pieces of meat
Lying around in an open field
Of wild grass with blood stains

Bury me in my sleep
In a casket made in Ghana
In reflection of my life

Just make sure it is with dreams
And not nightmare
I lie in this rest sleep with

Do not put me in a cage
With my heart still haunted
As torture to hold

I will have to fight myself to death
And then repeat in essence
The whole scene over again

Over and over and over again
Like a ghost in a haunted house
Claiming property rights

Over and over and over again
Bury me in a casket made in Ghana
In reflection of my life

So I can continue
Being myself
Long after I am gone, in skeleton state

Journeys Due South

Due north, due south
I have crossed these rivers
That flow due south

Swimming chest deep
In the raining season, on high tides
And walking on the river beds on low tides

Like old bird's nest
With debris as ghost that laid
Of what was once before

Broken branches, tweaks
And dead leaves brown and yellow
That voyaged passed this junction joint

Would never again in slopping rivers
That flows down south
Regardless of the season

Their tribulations I have known
But would never again host I pray
By the river front I stand

Age is like the old river
With debris that passed once before
Would never again host this time

I have witnessed
I pray sage gives me the wisdom
To remember

Clock work

Tic toc a second away
Fingers on the buzzer
Say tic toc
Tic toc

One fat and one slim
And one that forgot
He was suppose to move, tic toc
When the buzzer went bang

The third that is tic toc
Just moving ever so slow
When all is said and done
With a big bang, fingers on the buzzer

Fingers on the buzzer
Sixty of the seconds
Makes a minute goes bang
Tic toc fingers on the buzzer

Round and round here we go
Sixty of  the minutes
Makes the hour goes bang
Tic toc  fingers on the buzzer

Fingers on the buzzer tic toc
Fingers on the buzzer tic toc
Oh just a second or so away
Fingers on the buzzer

Fingers on the buzzer
Until the clock to goes bang
Tic toc fingers on the buzzer

Charlie Hebdo; No religion

I am a cartoonist, an artist
I am just a guy with a pencil and a paper

It is not as though
There is too much salt in the water

It is as the situation stands
The whole water is just salt

There are no religions
There are no sinners

My country is without boarders
I am a man without a country

There are no black areas of shades
There are no white areas of shades

It is all blurred in grey
No blood so red

No cut so deep
No handle on the butcher's knife

No symbols and affiliation
No secret handshakes on alters

We are living in a nightmare
Where all the monsters dreamed of, come alive

The nut house is empty
The inmates a' the guards running this ward

The President has a secret
Greater than the man about to be hanged

Do not look directly in their eyes
The sun will blind you a' rob you of the day

Hide the last manuscripts
The decree ruled, is to burn all books

Do not look for mother
To be our saving grace

She has long converted
And we are all aliens to her course

Blood is lighter than water
And the sun dries it out so fast, desert rain

Amnesia is our luck to be found
Stops us from remembering the pain

I am a cartoonist, an artist
I am just a guy with a pencil and paper

Why would you brake my pencil
And scatter my blood so raw

Eager Beaver Love

Eager beaver eyes on the prize
Looking for a target to start with

If the sun should set
Then man would have something to hide

It is given, like a rule in this world
A verse somewhere in old chapters written

She attest there must be
Surely indeed there must

If the sun rises and sets
And gravity holds to the law of physics

Why would this notion
Be of false state

So she keeps looking
A detective on the sniff for trouble

Come here trouble, testify my resolve
She keeps looking

Eager beaver, eyes on the prize
Looking for a target to start with

There is a writing on the wall
Blurred but with manifesting notions

Miracle on 34th Street

If only you believe
I can make you a believer

I have seen the Prince
Being humble like a slave

I have witnessed the sun
Give in to the moon

I have watched spring's flower
Blossom in the darkest of winter

I can testify to all
Indeed I have bared witness

I have seen a thick forest
In the middle of the hottest desert

I have witnessed a fish
Walk out of water and still with life

I have watched the air
Turn solid while I breathe

I have seen it all
Indeed I bared witness

To know nothing is ever
Just in one dimension

And miracles do happen
On 34th Street

If only you believe
I can make you a believer

Love and the road topsy-turvy

Speed is time over distance traveled
First past the post

Behind wheels
And to be known as a petrol head

I am going fast, am moving fast
But caution is always a guide

To stop when the red light comes up
Slow at a time on the amber

But in cases, case study
When the lights are off

There is always the traffic cop
To direct my projection

That is how it is suppose to be
For law and order, that is the deal

Yet on this occasion
No show, traffic light and the cop

To be replaced by a drunk
Junkie on the road directing traffic

Begging for change for service rendered
Please Sir, can I have some change please

A recipe for disaster
Clash of the tartans

Metal against metal, topsy-turvy
Two cars on a collision course

And I am caught in the middle
About to become a disaster

Tribal Wars

Tribal wars
Drums heard from a distance

Language of another
Tribal marks, the enemy is near

An enemy, for you are different
By tongue and language

Tribal wars
Skin color so deep

Hair and eyes, size
Sentiment of the paranoia

Fear from old folktales
They eat babes alive, alive I say

I will bring down your house
I will seize your love

And bury you as an enemy
For we are from different clans

Tribal wars
Tribal wars

But save me when I am on my knees
And I will be grateful

It would be a deed as humanity
And I will be grateful

So long as you do not enter my house
And be friends with my kind

A stranger will be more welcome
Than a neighbor

In my house, men from foreign lands we welcome
But not you; tribal wars, tribal wars a neighbor

Who stands to gain
From insistence on valuing our differences

History says we were once brothers
History says we are sworn enemies

Tribal wars
Tribal wars

Who is speaking my language
Who's am I speaking

Eyes, and size
Skin color so deep

Tribal wars

Time and Space

Time is an escape of a version

Between yesterday and now

Tomorrow never comes

Arms stretch to touch

Halo realms

Tomorrow never comes

Unless I have been wrong

All along about the magician's gift

Pulling rabbits out of the hut

Except for these and long ribbons being pulled

Could I have been wrong

Have I been wrong all these while

Is this world as quantum's prophecies

Spirit science a bridge between worlds

Never mind the complexities of our essence

Just put something on we are going to be late

Time is an escape of versions

Between yesterday and now

Do you mind

We are going to be late

Time and space

Love and science
