My dreams "escape shaft"

My dreams open doors
For escapes into realms of another
To let my soul free of weights

Awaken my wings to fly flight
Through clouds and mountains
Ocean floors to voyage

I will escape to a place in mind
Where I will always be the hero
As the main character defined  to play

I will escape to a place in mind
A place where hot air balloons  fly
And stories from books are invented

Let me escape into a book
Be a bookworm and day dream
I will escape into a place in mind

Sleep, Dreams and Visions

Spins and shadows in my sleep
I see through visions in my dream
Visualized  images moving close

In the forest, loud of lone darkness
In the woods where birds sing mute
In the trees of blurred visions

In a place where my screams are held silent
In a place where my hands a' legs are tied down
In a place, in a world of  sensation bizarre

In shadows, I see in the distance approaching
In characters so familiar, I see with scare
Spin, spin, spin visions, then suddenly I wake up

Not knowing who or what it was
And then suddenly I wake up from sleep
Seeing spins and shadows in my visions of dream

My Dream Home

Wind swept, sea breeze and sunset
The seaside house that stands
From a distance as bespoke main

Built to blend with natures environs
Built to please the manor of the house
By the beachside, facing the waves

Squirrels and birds in the garden, they play
Having away fun, with nuts, hanged on coconut trees
My little wildlife, right here in my backyard lay

The dolphins jump and splash the sea blue
The seagulls swings and dive on hunt
The little blue boat, comes back in before the tide high

Fresh air, fresh breeze and wind swept bliss
My sanctuary stands, as paradise found
This here is my dream home found

My dream home
This here is my dream home found
My dream home stands

Pouring Libation

At the front line, where backs are
Firmly stack against walls, that hot
Transmitting the burning coals of larva

From the bosom of dejected dissolution
Deep beneath the heart's crust knocking
With increased temperature, in temperament

Of  the heat, in trepidation gushing up
As time passes by, like street lights so fast
Distancing, one from dreams with stretch

With age count, adding burden of  guilt on lost hope
Like the gas filled cylinder left out cold
Awaiting sparks, just a single spark, for its day

To burn, combust, with might  in the light
Showing its glory, showing its all
As given to proclaim as destiny to be

Yet slowly, increasingly, widening
This hatch, hole of opening enigma,
Escapes hope, from an opening

Sucks out, leaks and dilute with air
The essence of once so defined
Taking forms of deflated objects, wrinkled

What do you do son, what do you do
 To keep from drowning souls
As once so care free, a spirit trapped in cages

Today we will pour libations, it is needed
Laugh and mock life and dreams had
Tomorrow we will saddle up, back chasing that dream

In Dream State

In dream state, I found my self
The house floats in the heavens
The stars come right down to earth

Not sure, whether I am standing or flying
Lying or falling, dreaming or awaking
Nothing here makes sense, not sure at all

Guess nothing here is meant to
For this is the dream world, the cross roads
The fluid dream I had last night

Sometimes it felt like I was awake
And knew this was a dream, somewhat not so nice
Reasons a' rational objects, the justification given

Then I am lost again, so vivid this feeling
My emotions responds to the stories told
Sometimes I am falling, running, am I still lying in bed, dreaming

In a dream state I found my self last night
When the stars seemed so close
And we were all caught in a whirlpool

I Cry Around Tables

And there they were, the  forefathers
How I remember them
All sat around tables
Notion of dreams had

Sankofa this is our land to be built on
Heritage, this is our destiny
Dreams, of a united continent

Colourful riches
Of this here land seen in
Reflections of what we wear
This is our fabric, exciting

This is our clay our land
And ants  build sky scrapers with it
Birds leaves architecture on trees
And acacia trees stands with majesty

Watch the cream of the sun
Shower the land with beauty
On sun set stands, such bless
Paradise here on earth

And others will
And they do envy
For just a fraction
Of what we have, we own

But on our leaders
Heads went missing, heedless
On the want of greed
Of selfish, self indulgence

And notion in motion
Some times, too often
Goes without directions
So I sit and cry around headless tables

Two Halves

I am of two halves
My thoughts, my sight
My feet, my directions, hold
Break twigs to become of two halves

I am of two halves, to have a dream of two men
Safe to take the lonely walk,
But not much life holds, in road's suite

Excitement and fear,
Becomes of adventures
On option's grounds

So  do I walk the road of  plausible certainty
Seat and wonder on dreams once had
Or choose to follow a passion
I am of two halves

Choices on decision's paths chosen
Haunted to reconsider like thinkers think
Nightmare of free-fall, still hold I back
Fear it holds of the unknown haunt

But this is my dream, my passion
Its in my blood, it is  what I am made of
So I seat with dreams of two men
Two halves, and calling

And hope to nest of two birds
Because I am made of two halves
I seat with the dreams of two men
And wish to see my dreams come true

Note: I love poetry and I work as a construction commercial manager/ project manager
that is where the poem is coming from, the metaphor of two halves, which I think James Rosenquist can relate to
