A Colourless Summer

Wild flowers are free and blessed
The heaven's bless
And keep them protected

They bring with them so much joy

With simplicity and love
Angels among-st us with hearts so pure

White seems a dirty colour

Placed so close next to them
White is just as dirty

They radiate and excite

Sprinkling new colours into the day
With their warm hearts

My beautiful wild flower

Like daffodils, yellow and white
The perfect day in summer

Shadows that cloud the beauty in day

The loudest voice is with mime, tong tied
Felt by emotional rain

The heart is without its usual rhythm

Drums that excite like an African
Drum beat under the sunset

Now gone quite

With the forest silent
Without a whisper, a bird's whisper

My little wild flower

My angelic little wild flower
My joy to the world

I pray you find your colour

Again to brighten
This colourless summer

My Family Tree

I am a product of my family tree
Long from the roots, but yet so near

With branches that spread
And swings in the winds

I am warm and friendly
I am as cold as ice, dead men have humour

A complex conundrum
A joy to the shrink when I visit

Then he is left confused
After my visit, needing to unthink

I am rigid, hard as a bone I would not bend
I am soft, squishy as a sponge

I am free spirited, free as a bird
Nothing you say would bother me

I am so self conscious
Looking from mirrors reflection seeing blemish

Don't blame me
I am a product of my family tree

The wind blows my branches
And I swing with the winds

A hundred birds on a tree

When I started life I started well
Somewhere on a tree I knew a hundred doves

Each season, one flies and others follow
Sometimes, sometimes they come back

But most times, each season
When they fly off, not as many return

I started with a hundred doves
Stood, on my favored tree

One named, Peter, Julie, Sarah
And Paul was another with a name in line

When I started life I started well
Somewhere on a tree  I knew a hundred doves

Each season I lose one or two or three
Sometimes more, at a go

Last I counted, I was down in figures
On single digits, my tree looks empty

Most of my doves have long flown off
And each season I keep losing more

Hoping to reverse this extinct fear
Each year I lose more and more

The weather, has changed
The earth is with thirst, harsh the sun

A hundred friends and love I have lost
Each year I lose some more...

Sown Seeds In Foreign Lands

Pride is the value of a man's life so little
Like the gas fumes that burns on petrol
To have seen a thousand men hang on strings
For theirs as pride was robbed of them so easy

Men with souls search for their identity
What meaning to be defined by in life
Be it as religion or as family
But as family most, most as family

Today I witnessed a man lose his pride
So simply robbed in daylight painful
With such rush audacity of misplaced loyalty
And I feared what edging action would bequest of him

Lonesome in the middle of the night dark
When most thoughts taunts and louds with echo
The laughter of silence quite and penetrating
What most was lost, stolen in the brightest of day

We left our seeds in foreign lands with promise
Where dreams became nightmare of the living
And pages of gospel scrolls with scriptures
Lost a thousand words to thin air

Naming Names

Interesting names, I am named
With not just the one
But a dozen or so more

More in names to respond to
To be known by a word
A name of representation

And in pronunciation it changes too
From what accent one is to hold
I am named with not just the one

Many a name I am to be known by
Some for groups, in forms I belong to
A' playground names oh a few more to mention

Or characters known by
Some for praises and so welcomed
Some for curse, I pretend not to hear

I am named,
In my life time, many more in names
I would be known by

Some just in groups I belong to
Some just in the way, I  am seen as
I am known by, all in names

I am named

Five Daughters

The White Powder; Happy Dust
In support of :http://www.iceniipswich.org.uk/

I am alone, lost in a dark place
It is my love of life, t' brought me to y'r door step
It is the excitement you bring
That lured me into your seduction

Then at night;  scooch, you broke me in two
On addictions, my nostrils bleed, for your nose candy
You made me walk in the cold at night, junky all alone
You sold me for cheap, to the devil's wickedness

It is my love of life, the need  for joy
That brought me, desperate to your door step
It is my love of life, that brought me here
Here, onto scared unhallowed grounds

While I watch conniption, my hysteria of loneliness
In outer skin, out of body, seeing myself
About to comatose in sensation
Felt betrayed by your ghostly powder

Left on the coroner's lonely cold table
Stripped of  my dignity, to bare
Long before being bisected by autopsy
To be identified by family, as empty

Your white powder,
Stardust, white lady, robbed me
You robbed me of my life,
You stole away my dreams

The following below is written by the family of: Paula Clennell
I want your head on my shoulder
I want to breathe you in and know that you are safe
I want to see your, feet up watching telly
I want to tell you, not to swear
Angel girl, come back to me

Written by: R.I.P Annette Nicholls
Me and my adorable man
Will one day walk hand in hand
Away from this place
For the rest of our days
For the rest of our lives
No more this, no more that
No more the other
Me and my brave, brave man
Nights in with the telly
Days out with the family
A walk in the park
See me the sister
See me the daughter
Perhaps in time, a wife
So Proud
See me , a mother.

Now There Is Silence

Quiet the room stays, eerily
No words spoken
Silence fills the air,

Yesterday there was liFe
In this house a family
Three voices heard giggling
Now there is silence

Arguments, Shouts, Shouts, Shouts
Doors banged, to shake the frames, structure
The very foundations, of once called home
Over silly things ended by the silence

I have to have my say, to over burden you
Let me have my turn to talk, always I am right
By default, it was your fault, always is
Never good enough, is what you do

Now there is silence
Now you can have your say, in empty kingdoms
And perfect, all so wrong
Save your arms and throat, from hard work

But the room feels empty, ghostly
The emptiness and silence echoes, eerily
In itself creating a burden of realisation
Over thoughts of guilt

Now you can have your way, your say
Perfect once so wrong
But the silence feels,  fills
Full the emptiness with misery

Questions now being asked, on reflection
After the penny has dropped, was it all worth it
But the price has all so long been paid for
Now there is silence, ghostly silence
