Today we sit, stand a' shake hands, on symbols
We smile to t' crowd, as great men a' women
We sign peace treaties, on politics, on life, in social
We swear on oath,
Our pledge to stand
And for my honour
Let me be held by my words
Let my actions follow my words this day
Like rains on fertile lands not deserted
Let me be tested for my honour
Yes by my honour my integrity
Let me be a man defined as just
For on this day
I ask for my word to be on act, with trust
And be defined on gentlemen's honour
Let me stand by my word
Not like the preacher who preaches
Without acts to follow, let me be by my word..
Don't think I'd go to that preacher's church.
