Attraction's Hook

What did she do..
To turn the scotching sun down..
Awaken the glow of moonlight hour..
In sleepy hallow..
With candle lighting, courtesy of..
Provided by the firefly, free before dawn ..

When did love become my quest..
My run a mile and to, with skips of beat..
With heart's drums beats, in sounds alike ..
What's with the adrenaline feel ..
Pounding for the sight of her aurora .

Yea though, thought by man ..
To walk through fire balls, on bare foot ..
And of her  perserved weakness..
In man's thinking, religion plays it part ..

I became undone in her presence ..
And my Achilles hill ..
Keys, of my heart's vulnerability ..
Given to her by The Maker ..

What did she do ..
To bring the scotching sun down..
With candle lighting, courtesy of..
Provided by the firefly, free before dawn..
What did she do..

  2. You pull the reader through from beginning to end. A great sense of the sound of poetry and unusual word combinations that don't seem too far-fetched.

  5. Funny how these things happen to us - I think men are especially vulnerable in that aspect.

  7. Nice, One Shot. I too liked the 2nd stanza the best, though the entire piece had a ring of truth for me. It happens to women too, I assure you.
